[destinationuab] Need a room/room partner(currently staying at UAB having one vacancy for me) near or around UAB (shud be walkable <30mins or more)

I am newly admitted PhD student of Chemistry for the Fall-2014. And I will be arriving on 28July. Anybody knows information reg availability of an apartment (costs between $400-500) or one vacancy in his room near or around UAB (walkable <30mins=preferred or more) please kindly forward that info to me at msreddy@uab.edu.
