AIS can help with their temporary accommodation. Ask him to join AIS UAB Facebook page and also the destinationuab google groups. Those are the best places to find information regarding what he needs.

I am a graduate student in department of Epidemiology at the UAB School of Public Health. We have a post-doc fellow coming from Sri Lanka for a year to UAB. He will be coming to UAB with his family. Since there is no Sri Lankan Student Association, we were wondering if he can become a member of AIS and receive emails from destinationuab. 

I would greatly appreciate if you could direct me as to how he can contact the president/ secretary of AIS directly. 

Since he is coming with his family (wife and two kids), he would also like to request for temporary accommodation for a week or so with any students/family willing. He is prepared to pay for his temporary stay.
